Feb ’25 Columbiette of the Month
Audrey LaVecchia is honored as Columbiette of the month for February. February is the month of love, and this Columbiette’s love is apparent in all of the physical as well as spiritual support she gives to her church, her family, and her community.
As a member of the Cursillo Movement, her love for her faith shines forth. She works a demanding full-time job, and yet she still finds time to assist in the efforts of our auxiliary.
Audrey’s creative skills were evident when she designed the most beautiful 2024 Ladies Luncheon program. Furthermore, she also designed the small, delicate gift that was placed at each table setting. Indeed, it was a special welcoming gift for each lady. Thankfully, this special Columbiette has agreed to create the program for the 2025 Ladies Luncheon. She continues to serve actively on the Ladies Luncheon Committee.
Recently, this Sister Columbiette took on the responsibility of providing a family dinner at the Ronald McDonald House. Ronald McDonald House Charities Columbia provides “home-away-from-home” environments for seriously ill or injured children and their families close to their child’s medical care. This Sister Columbiette planned a full chef-inspired dinner, designed the food preparation plan for her Sister Columbiettes to help cook, shopped and delivered all the necessary groceries, and kept the fun going in the kitchen—even when we couldn’t find a whisk for the gravy!
Audrey continues to be involved in behind-the-scenes activities and fundraisers. She is our Columbiette of the Month for February to honor her hard work and dedication.
